The Most Beautiful Bohemian Airbnb Desert Retreat: The Desert Lily Joshua Tree

This beautiful Joshua Tree bohemian airbnb retreat , also known as The Desert Lily Joshua Tree House, is the perfect desert getaway location. I was looking to escape the urban grind with my friend Sydnee, and also tag along as she shot some weddings and couples content out in Joshua Tree. This place suited our getaway needs perfectly, and it was so cute!! We actually created an entire bridal editorial at this location, so definitely check it out here if you haven't seen it yet!

There were so many choices to choose from when Sydnee and I were looking for a place to stay, but this one caught our eye instantly when we saw it. The interior decor, outdoor oasis, gorgeous bedrooms, and location had us absolutely SOLD! On a side note: I choose a lot of my Airbnb's based on the style plus the reviews. This place had just the right amount of raving reviews, and aesthetically pleasing features that matched my trip's specific needs.

This peaceful desert oasis is also located in the highly attractive Yucca Mesa neighborhood (bordering Joshua Tree), and is just a 10 minute drive to Joshua Tree Village, and 11 miles from the park's Main Entrance. It's honestly the perfect location!

the room I chose to stay in for the trip. It was so bright and spacious, which is super important to me! Ya girl's got a lot of stuff when she travels haha. It's honestly a running joke with my friends and I that I overpack always. lol #sorrynotsorry

Okay, back to room talk - So, the lighting in this room was specifically my favorite. It was so bright and creamy, especially in the morning. I woke up everyday to orange filled sunrise skies, which truly kickstarted my day on the perfect note! If you're a morning person I highly recommend this room! The space also includes thoughtful details like a bench for evening reads, and a spare bed for an additional guest.

AND Lets not forget about the closet- it was super spacious, aka fashionista approved!

The fully equipped kitchen

and dining table makes for the perfect option for hosting big groups or dinners. There’s even additional seating in the outdoor bench area for you and your friends to gather. It also makes for the perfect opportunity to catch a desert sunset while enjoying a delicious dinner with friends.

Entertainment options

at this bohemian desert retreat are absolutely endless too! Daniella (the host of the Airbnb) provides her guests with great entertainment options such as, corn hole, jenga, an outdoor projector screen so you can watch your favorite films under the starry desert night skies, and games galore! (note: projector not provided).

My favorite entertainment amenity however was her vintage record player ( pictured below ). Daniella provides her guests with a thoughtfully curated vinyl collection that I was such a fan of. If you are a record person, definitely bring some; you won't regret it! Sydnee and I danced to some oldies, and shot some of the cute content that you'll find below. It was so much fun!

The Master Suite

was such a vibe too! I loved the huge bed, gorgeous furniture, and design elements in the room. It makes for the perfect bedroom photo op!

Relax & Unwind

in the outdoor jacuzzi or hammock swing! I loved ending my evenings in the jacuzzi under the starry night sky; Joshua Tree has the best night time views. They are my all time fave! I was so exhausted from our long days of shooting content, so I wasn't able to take some evening photos. However, if any of you decide to visit The Desert Lily, I highly recommend that you capture some sunset jacuzzi shots. The desert skies are so magical at night; especially during golden hour.

If you're not a jacuzzi fan, then the hammock swing might be more your jam. It's the perfect spot to get lost in a great book, or catch some z's after a long day. I might just need one of these in my backyard now hehe.

There's also the option to gather around the fire pit with friends and night, and enjoy the stunning views from the star-filled night skies and unbeatable sunsets. You'll also enjoy an unobstructed mountain backdrop as you lounge around the campfire, and share some fun new memories with your friends.
